John Hall

Largely self taught, I started my professional career as an artist in 1992 when I entered the Art Institute of Seattle. While at school, I was introduced to figurative expressionism and started to explore the sole use of color to communicate meaning and value. Over the years (while working in the Graphic Design field) I've continued to develop my art, painting subjects on site while working quickly and efficiently in one session and being satisfied with the results. This has led me to the style which I have today: gestural, carefree, expressive work.
