Serge Anatolkin

My story is a journey through science, business, countries, and, of course, art. During my school years, inspired by books and painting, I dreamed of becoming an artist. However, the tough reality of 1990s Saint Petersburg led me to study chemistry instead. Despite this, art always remained a part of my life — museums, books, and theory became my creative refuge.
After university, I ventured into scientific research and international exchange programs, which eventually evolved into a career in design, advertising, and marketing. In 2004, I launched my own business, which thrived for over a decade until I decided it was time for a major life change.
In 2014, I left Russia and began to reconnect with painting. Bulgaria gave me the inspiration and time to rediscover my artistic voice, and Spain further deepened my passion for art. I chose the pseudonym "Anatolkin" as a tribute to my late father, whose memory I wanted to honor through my work.
Today, living in the United States, I am once again embracing my art, which had taken a back seat to family and professional commitments.
