Aria Swan

My work is inspired by a deep connection to the natural world and the emotions evoked through immersion in its many environments—from the ocean to forests, bushland, and mountains.

A pivotal influence in my practice stems from an early and unexpected encounter with a stingray. What began as a moment of fear gradually evolved into a lasting fascination with the ocean, shaping both my subject matter and perspective. This transformation—from apprehension to appreciation—continues to inform my work.

I am drawn to the richness of painting from experience, memory, and feeling. Through this process, I seek to create works that resonate on a sensory level, inviting viewers to engage their imagination and enter a space of calm, reflection, and quiet stillness.
