Dong Phong Art Gallery was founded by two art lovers, Pho Hong Long and Mai Thi Thanh, with the purpose of nurturing the Vietnamese art community by providing an open venue for artists to introduce their work to the public. As part of this mission Dong Phong Art Gallery gives special attention to emerging, cutting-edge artists and organizes art exhibits in Viet Nam and abroad which feature many of the most talented artists in contemporary Viet Nam.

With twenty years of experience in the fine art market, not only selling, but also collecting paintings, Pho Hong Long and Mai Thi Thanh have simply understood that collecting artworks is a passion. They have always prioritized art rather than its commercialization, which helped Dong Phong Art Gallery to build a solid, long-standing relationship with a number of Vietnam's most renowned artists including several of the founding masters of contemporary Vietnamese art like NguyenTu Nghiem, Tran Luu Hau, the highly acclaimed middle generation of artists like Dang Xuan Hoa, Hoang Hong Cam, Ha Tri Hieu..., and rising stars such as Ha Manh Thang, Le Quy Tong etc.
