Monica Estrella

Born 1984 as child I never really had a passion for anything, I was very shy, free spirited, and observant. I noticed my love for art at the age of 5 years old and found a how to draw cats, dogs, and birds in a book my grandfather gave me. He also showed me how to melt crayons on paper with an iron. I started painting in 2002 in high school more when I connected with my art teacher, she showed me methods and techniques done by famous artist. I was now infatuated by the art world and what it has to offer me. I attended a community college and took more art course's such as drawing and sclupting.Then found that I was pretty good at make up artistry. Influenced by dramtic high fashion styles of make up, drag queens, music, and punk shows in my local cities.While taking a off campus program in make up artistry I participated in a small show with mac cosmetics as a student, it was a great experance and made me more confident in my abilities. I realised being an artist searching for exisitance through beauty while finding the right art method. My art method feels true to me and comes in multiple forms. I create my pieces with all my experieances, emotions, and obsessions.
