Irish Artist Fiona Quinn Cartwright lives and works in the Burren, County Clare. Working mainly with oils on canvas , much inspiraton is drawn from the healing energy , light and natural flows occurring in nature. Rather than presenting a factual reality an illusion is created to conjure the realms of our imagination.
This includes, compositions of colour, light and shade, waterscapes, cloud formations, sun sets and moonscapes, all of which happen in the moment as complete once off events. It is only when we slow down enough and stop to gaze at such wonder, that we have time to notice and document this beauty that surrounds us. This is the essence of what Fiona is striving to capture and achieve through her work.
Her technique of painting is fluid and free flowing, through observing the movement and merging of a kaleidoscope of colours the view gradually starts to emerge, unfold and come alive.
At present Fiona is working on a series of commissioned pieces for both National and International collectors, focused on Nature themes, such as, Trees, Water, Sky, Stars, Solar and Lunar.
