Alija Balta

Alija Balta is born 1958. in Visoko, where his father was serving as a teacher, but in 1961 his family is movees to Sarajevo for good, and this is vere he finishes his Elementary and High school /First Gymnasium/.
The status of Exceptional free lance artist of Canton of Sarajevo was granted to him in 2006 which he held up to year 2015. He lives and works in Sarajevo.

In 1983 he enters Fine Arts Academy (ALU), section for graphics where he graduates in 1988, in class of the prof. Dževad Hozo. With the same mentor he will also finish his after graduation studies, ten years later /1996-1998/. He becomes member of ULUBIH (Association of Fine Arts Artists for BiH) in 1998. and up to day he is an active member within the Association and its working bodies. Presently he is the President of the Board and Vice-president of ULUBIH.

His works were part of group exibitions held by the Association, in country and abroad but as a sole artist he also held numerous exibitions. /Sarajevo, Podgorica, Mostar/. His exibitions are due to be held in Rijeka, Zagreb and Wien in the near future.
