About me, well you could say I'm addicted to capturing moments. Though I grew up in a house full of cameras, it wasn't until my trip to Ireland that the photography bug bit hard. On my return, I went from hobbyist to a passionate photographer. I have been honing my craft ever since and became an award winning photographer. My first love has always been Black and White. Pictures devoid of color spark strong emotions within. For me, color side tracks exploring an image fully. At present, every image begins in color, then edited into B&W. Starting out with a digital camera makes one thirst to perfect their beloved B&W pics. A large format camera still needs to be acquired, though a Minolta 35mm is in the camera bag. So next on the to-do list? Practice more with film cameras!

While I took classes on how to develop and print from film, there's so much more involved. Without the space and time to perfect the darkroom process, I'll leave that to the professionals. It took many years to search out perfect craftsmen to create beautiful fiber gelatin silver prints, because I refuse to settle for mediocre. Furthermore, the technology needed to be perfected ...
