Florence Hendriks

Florence Hendriks is a Dutch artist living in London. She makes sculptures of imagined female superheroes.These superheroes are borne out frustrations of how powerful women are represented in popular culture. She then brings them to life in her East London studio using elaborate costume designs and meticulously painted faces, resulting in beautifully hand-crafted figurines that look like they just stepped out of their adventure to greet you.
