Kevin Vandivier

I was first introduced to photography as a teen heading to Vietnam when the war and the draft ended and my dad suggested photography as a new direction since my plans to "go to Vietnam and die" was no longer my future. Turned out it was a good fit. Photography became a good friend that has helped me through many rough spots in my life, including the horrible days after losing my 18 month old son to an accident. In many ways photography has been my best friend and the work produced over the years is the fruit of that friendship.

Studied Wildlife Game management at Stephen F Austin University and Documentary Photography at The University of Texas at Austin.
