Jairo Romero

Experimentation is undoubtedly the fundamental basis of my work, the simultaneous fusion of art and design from the literal perspective of its use and characteristics, it is a constant self-criticism of the symbolic and referential aspects characteristic of my work.
From this set of experiences I began to have the need to eliminate unnecessary elements in the composition, this led me to realize that adequate space and balance is obtained from desaturation, and is the structural basis of my current discourse.
During my creative process, a scheme of concepts and precepts takes place, acquired based on experience as an artist and designer where the duality between art and design consciously converge as a single essential factor that provides stability and balance to create each of my work

He began to paint self-taught. In his interest to improve and expand his knowledge, he studies graphic design and multimedia production. Subsequently, he moved permanently to Panama and received a degree in Plastic Arts from the Universidad de Arte Ganexa.
He has worked as an art teacher and graphic designer in Colombia and Panama.
His works are part of private collections in Panama, Guatemala, Colombia and Spain.
