Adrian Drinceanu is a young artist from Romania.
His field of interest is installation art and paintings, adopting a style between figurative and abstract. In paintings the strokes are going from a clear form of an image interpretation which is distorting, experimenting with diverse abstract lines, where the message is suggested through symbols and colors.
Regarding installations he uses reflective surfaces such as mirrors as main materials, exploring the visual impact which they have towards environment, while each angle offers different perspective on the works.
Mirrors represent a very appealing study material having a wide range of documentation and various possibilities of creating abstract compositions just by adding them in natural spaces.
According to the way it is presented, mirror art is ambiguous with a big impact on the viewer.
The ideas for his creations are driven by the infinite ways the surroundings may alter if only to look at them from divergent points of view.
Searching for different ways of perceiving our relation and connection to the surroundings, expressing chaotic and distorted thoughts seen through the "eyes" of mirrors derives a phenomena which becomes an inspiration for the paintings.
