Coralia Decsi

I am a traditional painter born in Timisoara, Romania in 1986. I began my artistic journey in 2007 as a self-taught nail artist. I was immediately hooked on the feeling of putting color on a small canvas and soon began winning european awards for my intricate paintings on small surfaces.
In 2021, I enrolled in Art University to further develop my skills and to expand my potential in classical art.
Nature and the stories of my childhood are the primary sources of inspiration for my art, and I aim to convey a story-like feeling in my paintings through the lighting on my subjects and my fine lines. I strive to create works that transport viewers to a world of childhood stories and fairy tales.
My artistic style is figurative, with layers of transparencies that convey a feeling of lightness and freedom. I use a mixed source of paint, making my underpaint with acrylics and embellishing with oils. My art often incorporates small details wich need very fine brushes that are not wider than 1 mm.
My long-term goal is to create art that inspires viewers to create their own stories in their minds and feel like characters in their own fairy tales.
