Martin Allen

Martin Allen is a contemporary British artist known for bold, characterful paintings that draw on motorsport history, aviation, glamour, satire, and popular culture. His work blends narrative, nostalgia, and visual drama, transforming familiar subjects into striking contemporary artworks with strong collector appeal. Whether depicting iconic racing machines, seductive figurative subjects, or sharp political themes, his paintings are united by energy, atmosphere, and a distinctive sense of theatre.

Largely self-taught, Martin Allen has developed his artistic practice through dedicated independent study, supported by short courses at the Royal Academy of Arts and Chelsea Art School. His work is informed by a lifelong commitment to drawing, painting, and visual storytelling.
