Giovanni Rotondo was born in November 1964 in Rosolini, a small town in the south east of Sicily.
He started learning the first rudiments of forging and tempering when he was just a child and worked in his father’s smithy.
In 1980 he attended a vocational training school where he learned different techniques to weld metals.
From 1986 to 1992 he worked, as a welder, in a petrochemical industry and this experience allowed him to extend his professional competences.
In 1993 Giovanni Rotondo started his own craft producing ,mainly, wrought iron furnishings.
Since 2003 he has been working as a “sculptor in metal”.
He is married and has got a son.
He lives and works in Rosolini.
Giovanni Rotondo has exhibited his works in lots of cities in Italy and abroad, meeting with great success everywhere.
His wrought iron sculptures belong to prestigious private collections.
