Isabel Barbas

Develops a multifaceted work in painting, installation, light art, design and architecture.
Has a Master in Art, Drawing (FBAUL) and a degree in Architecture (FAUTL). Lived in Madrid and currently in Lisbon.
Her work results from the crossing of various artistic strategies investigating issues related to Materiality, Atmosphere and Gravity. In public Space she inquires about participation, memory and citizenship.
She has several works awarded in competitions and presented in conferences, exhibitions and national and international publications.
Since 2010 she has developed teaching positions at the School of Communication, Architecture, Arts and Information Technology of the University Lusófona in Lisbon and has conducted numerous international and national workshops.
