Gina Miller

For me, painting is an act that brings me fully into the present moment when at it’s best. I think of this bliss point as the ‘middle place’ where nothing but potential exists.

I am visual artist who lives and works in Vancouver B.C. I have always made art in one context or another. I worked as a decorative painter running my own business, which lead to a career as a scenic artist in film.

After starting my family I went on to train at Capilano University where I focused on printmaking and more painting. I received my BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2012 and have maintained a steady art practice since then. I exhibit and sell my work in Canada and abroad.

The paintings exhibited here represent a body of work that I have produced since completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Emily Carr University in 2012.

These paintings resonate with the history of biomorphic abstraction, although I have developed a personal method that allows each of the works to slowly evolve into a layered topography that represents both the exterior world and my inner terrain.
