Mehtap Ihtiyar

Mehtap Ihtiyar was born in 1968. Between 1985-88, she attended the undergraduate program at METU, Pyhsics Department and quit to switch to Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Interior Architecture and Design Department. She graduated in 1991 and started her professional career by partnering with Gurkan Gurol Architecture Office. In 1994, she became mother and completed several architecture, interior design and landscape projects in Bodrum.

She attended workshops to practice pottery, ceramic art and relief techniques. She created authentic designs by using tree branches, stumps, wires and metal pieces. Between 1999-2012, she managed restoration and decoration project in Safranbolu and Karabuk. Since 2012, she has been living in Gökova where she founded Farmart Home Studio to both practice her profession and artistic approaches.
