Dongmin Chae

I was born in Seoul in 1993.
I like to paint since I was a child. I entered the Department of Plant Life and Environmental Science. I also majored in visual design in third grade. And graduated Bachelor of Agriculture and art. I'm currently working as a barista.


In art, the most different thing from before is that I am free.
While living the fixed path of Korean society, not expressing my opinion, I did not look at myself, establish or express my thoughts and opinions.
To me, which became a habit, doing art has gradually taken me out of the frame and expanded me. 
That's the biggest reason why I'm drawing. 

These days, I draw the usual "I." 
One day, l feel a little scared of the world, another is a good to live.
So, it seems like me to be complicated and capricious.
I draw the material that is scattered around me, the things that come to my mind. I hope my work will inspire to someone and expand themselves as they work.

2012 - 2016 Multiple major in plant life environment science and visual design.
2012 ~ Completing a course for Art Doctor's art therapy specialist.

In 2016, I exhibited the ‘Conquest’ of the Art Doctor Group Exhibition.
In 2018, I exhibited first solo exhibition of ‘出發(start)’ at Dogok-ri Warehouse.
