Sandra R Pragnell

Born in Harrogate, Yorkshire, I grew up in a county of many faces, stunning or bleak at times , but always with beauty and soul. I had always dabbled in the arts but it was not until my 30s that I took up painting.

Now at the age of 60 I am no longer restricted by the rules of my youth regarding art and have never felt more creative. I currently have two new collections on the go as well as some individual paintings...and my head just screams ideas. I believe now that when the body starts to fail the creative mind takes over.

I think all blank canvasses should come with the word "SPEAK" on them. Paintings serve to convey the artists emotions and feelings towards the subject they paint for others to engage with, its a silent discussion.

I paint full time at my home in Chester, England.
