Karyna Aslanova

Karyna Aslanova is a Kyiv-born Ukrainian multimedia artist, director, and photographer, and although photography is her principle medium, Karyna also uses video, painting and illustration, and poetry to further her exploration into multitude of subjects.

The power of colour is like music in films, it makes the entire mood, and just like a bloody massacre scene can seem so fascinating and charming being ironically accompanied by an upbeat rhythm, my art turns out fun, colourful, and even naive while I'm struggling with depression and being known as a very moody, dramatic, and pessimistic person.
