Clare Mckee

After a career in nursing, I started to write, paint and draw and haven't really stopped. Along the way, I acquired a Fine Art degree and do not doubt that there are many sub-conscious influences in my art from artists whom I admire, too many to mention. Nevertheless, I know that my style is original; I work intuitively and spontaneously and allow the work to present itself, sometimes along with words, which may or may not become titles.

I work with oil, acrylic, charcoal and pastels, on paper and canvas.

In the past year, I have discovered the joy of working digitally, using the app Procreate, working it out as I go along. I love the medium as it suits, perfectly, the spontaneous nature of my working process.

Although I have been far too busy being creative to actually spend time trying to sell or looking for gallery representation, I am delighted to offer prints from my original digital work and am grateful to saatchi for providing this opportunity.
