Sergio Brambillasca (Vimercate, Italy, 1963) is an Italian contemporary artist working across painting, drawing, digital graphics and sculpture. His artistic research explores themes of memory, collective consciousness and the fragile boundary between the finite and the infinite, often through symbolic compositions where human figures appear suspended in a timeless space.
Over the years he has developed a visual language that combines figurative representation with conceptual reflection, transforming everyday gestures and human figures into symbolic narratives that invite viewers to reflect on identity, silence and the deeper meaning of human existence.
Among his most significant projects are “2° Olocausto: Mediterraneo”, created in collaboration with art critic Paolo Levi, and “Sui passi della violenza”, a conceptual series of fourteen works addressing themes of violence, responsibility and collective memory.
In 2013 he received the Mede@ Award, presented by Anna Fendi, for the project Sui passi della violenza. The award ceremony also recognized major Italian media and journalism, including RAI, Striscia la Notizia, and several prominent journalists.
