Elizabeth Chiles is an American artist based in Austin, Texas whose work explores the intersection of physical and subjective worlds through abstract photographic collage, natural pigment painting and writing. Elizabeth pushes the boundaries of photography and its possibilities, making intangible concepts—including time, perception and consciousness—visible to viewers. Her process results in artworks that embrace the wonders of existence and reveal nature's persistent beauty.
Elizabeth has taught over 30 photography and art theory courses at UT Austin and Texas State University. Her work is held in public and private collections across the United States, including those of Dell Children's Hospital, Dimensional Worldwide, Google, Sidley Austin, The Line Hotel, among others.
