Diana Luckysova

I'm a Ukrainian girl who came to the US and found passion for arts. I use mixed media to create framed sculptures and finish them with oils. I have worked out my own technique using regular materials from home improvement stores.
My pieces reflect my own emotional journey and some social issues I care about. Hopefully others might find them interesting and perhaps even helpful.

My formal education (Masters of Philosophy) has very little to do with my art but it did prime me into becoming an artist.

Even though I've always painted I spent half of my life doing photography until I finally graduated myself into fine arts not so long ago.
It took me years of technical learning before I could call myself an oil painter (Web Art Academy 2013). Then I had to teach myself anatomy to be able to call myself a sculptor (Proko 2018). I also had to figure out how to safely combine materials to achieve archival pieces (that part was all trial and error and I'm still discovering new improvements every day). And then finally I had to learn how to make my own frames and websites to give my works the proper presentation. The learning curve was and still is steep and I will likely keep educating myself for the rest of my life as I really enjoy the process of achieving excellence in what I do.
