I'm a California-based photographer and conceptual artist who creates one-of-kind pieces. What's paramount for me is to create work that explores a range of human emotions and intellect—to hover between reality and illusion: Abstraction allows for these imaginative leaps because there is no fixed narrative. I value spontaneity and improvisation, whether out in the field or creating in my studio. One of my main goals is to challenge the conventional notions of photography and image-making systems that are currently in place in our society, and push the boundaries that lead to the unexpected by creating new ways of looking at ourselves and our surroundings. My work has been exhibited at the Oceanside Museum and Municipal Library in San Diego, David Jones Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri, Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad, California, Perry Events Center in San Francisco, the Oliver Art Center in Oakland, and is held in a few private collections. I hold a BFA from California College of the Arts in San Francisco.
