Macarena Torres

My name is Macarena Torres. I’m an emerging Artist and Graphic Designer from Chile, currently working in Netherlands for the next 3 months.

I am currently working on 2 pieces of art. One series is called "The art of context" and the other is called "Traces." Both are related from a local perspective of what it is like to live in Chile and be an artist. These works reflect my gaze towards the world, maintaining my own roots, but aware of what goes on, on the other side of the ocean.

The first series was hung up in a prestigious exhibition in Chile for emerging artists. In the past I have also exhibited in many galleries, but I believe that show-casing these in an international context will cause a different experience for the viewers, enhancing their perspective in the world of art.
