"I define drawing as the physical reality of conscience; it is the beginning of a process, a mode of thinking, communication, and remembrance. It is a moment in time, where the skills and the choices that I make come to the light."
The work is focused on drawing and ceramic sculpture. The making and its decision are at the heart of the work, forming images that speak of time, the environment and memory.
Mia's Goanese background informs her work and she is influenced on her time spent abroad. She grew up in Canada, USA and the United Kingdom.
As an international artist her drawings, sculptures, performance art and video have been exhibited in galleries and museums.
