I Elecfi

In my process I combine both the unconscious and the conscious state of mind and improvisation is an important part of it because this is the way I initiate every work.
In the beginning my focus is on enjoying my own performance and my interaction with colour, creating shapes and making marks without thinking, using different tools or hands intuitively.
I believe in accidents and most of the time I let them modify me and my work. I allow myself to make mistakes and I don’t position myself between fixed ideas.
Later in the process I act consciously and respond with clarity to what is already on the canvas by adding new elements, to build and define the theme and the subject.
I work predominantly with acrylics and I do sometimes collage.
I draw inspiration from my own reality and experiences by going between past and present.
