Dafina Marku

Dafina Marku is a contemporary visual artist born on January 10, 1999, in Divjakë, a small town in Albania, where she also grew up. From an early age, she developed a strong passion for drawing and painting, a passion she has continued to cultivate independently over the years as a self-taught artist.

Her artistic practice focuses primarily on realistic portraiture, created using colored pencils on paper and oil paints on canvas. Alongside portraits, she also explores landscape painting in oil, capturing atmosphere and emotion through careful observation and detail. While realism remains central to her work, Dafina enjoys experimenting with different styles and mediums, constantly expanding her artistic language.

Although she pursued higher education in Information and Communication Technology at the Faculty of Sciences in Tirana, art has always remained an essential part of her identity and creative expression. She currently lives and works in Germany.

Dafina Marku creates original artworks and also accepts commissioned pieces, aiming to establish a personal connection between the subject and the viewer through expressive detail and refined technique.
