EDUCATION

Born In Tortosa, province of Tarragona in 1926.Studied at the school of Arts and Crafts of Olot and Manresa, the school of Fine Arts Sant Jordi and the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona. In 1963 he moved to live in Montivideo,Uruguay.During the 10 years he lived there he worked as a photographer and also painted. My life as an artist has been very hard and for many years I had two jobs as well as my passion, art. I was very young when I began painting,I came to Barcelona to study at the school of Fine Arts Sant Jordi where I also taught..Some years later I graduated at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona. My favourite artists those who have most impressed and inspired me are; Sorolla,Velzquez,Goya,Murillo,Gaugin,Manet and Monet

The paintings of Ricard are a true reflection of a creative, meticulous and detailed vision.
Life in its simplicity.its multiple ordinary and daily scenes are his source of inspiration.
