Halyna Pavlivna Snihur was born on March 27, 1970, in the village of Huliaypole in Katerynopil district in Cherkasy region.
First creative mentor was the renowned artist Oleksa Blyzniuk from Cherkasy, under whom she studied for a year (1986-1987). Later, she attended courses in Kyiv for painting on wood (2002-2003) and studied at the Kyiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts named after M. Boychuk (2006-2010).
She is a master of decorative painting and fine art. She revived the forgotten traditional ethno-doll, once popular in southern Ukraine, for the first time in Cherkasy region. She is a regular participant in regional and provincial exhibitions of decorative and applied arts. She is the laureate of the third regional festival of folk art. She was awarded a diploma by the Ministry of Culture for her high creative mastery in 2009 (for participating in the Arts Festival of Ukraine). In 2011, she held a solo exhibition at the Cherkasy Local Lore Museum. Her works can be found in the regional local lore museum and the district local lore museum.
