Wanru Kemp

Wanru Kemp is a Chinese-born artist based in Okotoks, Canada. With formal training in painting in China and a university education in commercial photography, she creates contemporary landscape works across painting, drawing, and sound, with close attention to light, structure, and composition.

Shaped by cultural inheritance and migration, landscape becomes a passageway connecting her inner life of memory and thought to the outer world of places and people. Her work is held in private collections worldwide and has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, and China.
