Sue Knight

It is my experience of the land and sea which provides the impetus for my work. My initial response to the landscape is gained from walking in many parts of Britain, whether on the coastal paths of Cornwall, the fells of Cumbria or the islands of Scotland's west coast. It is the wilder and more remote parts of the country which draw me to them. In the studio I transform that response, allowing the painting process to influence the way in which my experiences will reveal themselves.
