Despazio is a project that emerged in March 2020, when mandatory confinement began after the COVID-19 pandemic. And on the third day ... I was resurrected. I had been trying to make time for collage for years, but had never had the opportunity to stop, to "walk slowly."

I recovered materials that I had been accumulating in failed projects (I am from more beginnings than continuities) and found an old stamp with interchangeable letters. With the first letters that I found I realized that I could form the word "despazio" so... why not?

I put on my FFP2 mask, my nitrile gloves, and started towards the kiosk to buy the Sunday supplement of any newspaper with the power to start working on any idea.

After more than half an hour playing hide and seek with scissors, I just got down to business. He cut out and those pieces of paper fell in love ... I was just his matchmaker, I was the Cupid of the treated, painted and bound cellulose.
