James Smith (aka The Walking Creative) is an artist based in Adelaide, South Australia. He is a self taught artist who is well known in the Adelaide community for his vibrant colour palette where his work saw light out of a dark tunnel. His work represents elements of himself whilst also shares stories from moments, conversations, thoughts and feelings in an expressive, spontaneous and a very bold style.
He has exhibited works in galleries and shows both locally, interstate and overseas. He has also worked and collaborated with local businesses across Adelaide painting murals, designed logos, produced street wear and custom wear as well as a limited edition clothing line for a sustainable street wear store in Adelaide’s CBD.
One of his largest projects working with non for profit based organization Sight for All where he painted a mural for World Sight day (October 8th) in the CBD saw his mural with a grand opening and unveiling by the executive team, Lord Mayor, South Australian Governor and the South Australian Health Minister.
