Tony Mentel

I studied at the prestigious Royal College of Art in London, I work as a full time creative and have done since 1998, since I graduated from my MA. I come from a background mixing fine art with Fashion and textiles. I grew up in a Creative Family, my Grandfather was a Painter and interiors specialist, as well as my other family members owning an leather accessory factory (working for John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood) and 2 tailors in Saville row, so i grew up seeing things being made rather than bought, and my fascination with all things creative and craft started at an early age.
I have a love of detail and embellishment, intricate beading in both 2D and 3D works. My signature style is combining bright colours and textures. I love decoration and the idea of collecting charms and tiny treasures to evoke a memory or emotion
