MONTES DE OCA, "INTUITIVE AND LITERARY"

ANTONIO MONTES DE OCA Born in 1968 in Carora, Edo. Lara Between 1987 and 1990 she undertook studies of Pure Art at the Martín Tovar y Tovar School of Plastic Arts, located in her hometown. So far he has received more than fifteen awards and honorable mentions, including the Young Artist under 35 years of age prize, awarded at the I National Biennial of Visual Arts City of Barquisimeto and the 20th Municipal Prize for Painting of Maracay. He has participated in multiple group and solo exhibitions. His works enrich public and private collections in various countries, including: Venezuela, Germany, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Switzerland, Portugal, Puerto Rico and the United States. His work is characterized by presenting fragmented spaces, which evoke reality with their own language. Regarding the use of color, Antonio Montes de Oca is intuitive and libertarian, making us see new possibilities in terms of its application and character. For these reasons, the work of this creator from Carole represents a novel contribution to Venezuelan imagery, which, thanks to him, has another reality to include in its history.
