Our world. In our childhood, it seems vast to us. Then, little by little, it becomes of our work, family, and everyday concerns narrower because of our work, family, and everyday concerns. It is only our mature years that we start to realize that it is infinite.
We are surrounded by the wonderful world of nature, above us, there is the unbounded Universe.
And it is looking down at us. Oh, yes, down at the oceans, woods, fields, and lakes, the stars and distant galaxies are looking down at us with hope, expectation, and fear.
What are you like, Man? What are you doing? What do you think? Are you protecting our world or will you destroy it by your unwise haste, aspiration to your all-power, your egoism?
You are powerful, Man! You can destroy this world, turn it to ashes, to dead and cold stone. Then the gods will turn their backs to it, and for millions of years, only faraway stars will continue telling legends about a destroyed planet of unwise people.
You are powerful, Man! You are the protector and the son of this world, you are the inseparable part of it, and it is only you, your kindness, and your wit that could make it everlasting.
