Arabella Harcourt-Cooze

I was brought up in South West Ireland. Moving with my family to London as a teenager. Now a West London Artist, most recently I have been concentrating on a series of paintings of the Thames, the seasons, the light, wanting to capture and record, particularly from Hammersmith to Barnes Bridge.
It is The City and yet not - the structure and symmetry of the riverside - architectural, regimented – planted by man: defying the wild and open beauty of the sky above, and always - the relentless tide.

I studied English Literature at U.C.L. attending Life Drawing classes at The Slade, The Byam Shaw and later at the R.C.A.
