I am 69 year old artist who loves to paint expressionistic faces, even though it may not be a real living person, it is almost as if you are creating life itself. The painting tells a story, the facial expression bring the painting to life, the observer can see inside the soul of the subject and interpret the feelings and emotions almost as if the person was a real living being. In the blink of an eye, 100 years will pass, and only the person within the painting will live on for eternity, the observer will have vanished, and new observers will have come and gone. This is where my inspiration comes from, as an artist I can create everlasting life. I create poetry alongside the painting, which provides the observer with an insight into the character and psyche of the creation. What meaning they take from this, is entirely up to them. I am an admirer of the great Van Gogh, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Helene Schjerfbeck, Amedeo Modigliani and many many more.
