Born in Montreal, Daniel Lévesque's artistic journey has traced a vibrant path that has led him from the Verdun and LaSalle neighborhoods to the bucolic landscapes of Saint-Constant and Saint-Ours, and finally to the wild shores of Pointe à la Frégate in the Gaspé Peninsula. His earliest memories are marked by the irresistible pull of pencil and paper: from the age of four, drawing was an extension of himself, and at just eight, he painted his first oil canvases. Even as a teenager, Lévesque was forging his own path and organized his first exhibition at fifteen. Artistic talent runs in the family: his mother and uncle provided fertile ground for his creativity, encouraging a spirit of experimentation and spontaneous expression. The artist's training combined private tutoring in high school, calligraphy and pedagogy lessons, instruction in digital tools such as Adobe software, and, above all, personal exploration.
As an adult, Lévesque's creativity found many concrete outlets. He built his career through the tactile disciplines of lettering, signage, and screen printing, before turning to the precision craft of cabinetmaking.
