Ruslan Prokopchuk

I live in one of the cities of Ukraine - Zhytomyr. This is my fourth place of residence. My main craft is painting. Although I studied at the university with an artistic and pedagogical inclination, I dropped out in the second year. The university gave me almost no knowledge, and I really wanted to work in this field. For myself, I learned a lot from books. After university, I rented an apartment and turned it into an art studio.
I was 19 at the time. There I gave painting lessons and wrote my first works. I often moved because the profession of an artist did not allow me to stay in one place for long. Now I work to order and for a gallery in the city of Zhytomyr, but things are not going as I would like. I am working on creating my own workshop where I will work with students, paint pictures and do pottery. My favorite genres are animalism, surrealism, nude and hyperrealism.

Unfortunately, I have no education. I studied in one of the higher educational institutions of Ukraine, but the situation developed in such a way that I dropped out. At this stage, I realized that I get almost nothing. There were also not enough masters. I took two courses and dropped out of university. I rented an apartment, which was my workshop and studio.

I did not have many exhibitions. Everything that was, was at the local level. Perhaps this is due to the situation in Ukraine. We have a very low level of fine arts.
