My work is Contemporary Native American Art with over 50 years of experience in drawing, painting, and sculpting. My artistic journey began early. At age 8 I completed my first commission, a color pencil drawing, marking the start of a lifelong passion.
Throughout high school my art earned numerous awards. This recognition paved the way for scholarships.
My earliest influence was an older brother's murals, which allowed me to develop a keen eye for detail, studying brush strokes closely. My artistic vision was also shaped by the techniques of the old masters, particularly their mastery of light, shadow, and the human form.
My art reflects my native identity and cultural heritage, emphasizing a connection to landscapes that go beyond mere backgrounds. They strive to convey beauty and provoke thought, inviting viewers to engage in meaningful conversations about humanity's relationship with nature.
I am confident in my skills as an artist, so I prefer to let my work speak for itself, using art as a language to express ideas and emotions that words cannot capture. My evolving subject matter continues to inspire and challenge, ensuring that my contributions to contemporary art remain impactful and relevant.
