I am a Latino/Hispanic American artist born in Michoacan, Mexico. In 1979 my parents left Mexico for the united States to escape poverty.
After settling in Los Angeles, California, everything promising about our new future was destroyed and damaged in the mix of madness and fragmented dreams.
My work is inspired by the vast nature of "interconnection of the fragments" that deal with the mind, body and soul. These resonate in an intimate and collective sequence.
Spiritual experiences, healing, and faith in things unseen are influences from which I extract needed energy which helps me balance everyday life and art.
I advocate a painting style where the fragments are already interconnecting in ways that help put my faith and feelings into actions that stimulate and authenticate a physical and spiritual relationship with the UNSEEN.
