Ambrish Gaur

I am a textile designer and visual artist whose work bridges the worlds of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary expression. Trained at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India, I approach art as both a visual language and a cultural archive—capturing stories through intricate patterns, rich textures, and expressive hand-painted motifs.

My creative journey spans from fine art painting to textile-based explorations, often beginning with pen-and-ink sketches, watercolors, or oil on canvas. These works are inspired by everyday observations, moments in motion, and the tactile beauty of handcrafted traditions. My art celebrates detail, emotion, and the dialogue between heritage and modernity.

For me, art is not only about aesthetics—it is about connection. Each work is an invitation for the viewer to step into a space where texture, form, and narrative meet.
