My name is Pauline Allen I have been working with mosaics for over twenty years alongside my professional career.People often comment about the detail in my work and the colours.On many occasions I have been asked if I sell my work and people have been amazed when I said no.When I reached sixty I decided to make a change to my career path and follow a long held ambition to work exclusively with mosaics.The inspiration for my Artwork comes from everyday observations and my love of wildlife,trees,gardens and places of beauty in my home county of Northumberland England.

I work with a wide range of coloured ceramic tiles which enables me to express myself through my art.Every piece of my work is different because it is hand built ,detailed ,colourful and evokes interest as the eye explores the hidden depths within the art.Working with mosaics is an extremely time consuming form of art but for me it is a labour of love.I work with mosaics most every day in my studio I will not release a piece until I am entirely satisfied with it.With every piece of art work I make,my excitement grows as my thoughts turn into conceptual representations of the subject matter.
