Laura Staats

Laura Staats started dedicating herself to developing her art skills back in high school with the help of her favorite art and painting teacher. She spent much of her free time drawing and painting in those days. Art has been a lifelong passion for her, and she has explored many different mediums over the years, with oil painting being a clear favorite. She enjoys experimenting with different subjects, but landscapes and figurative work are clear favorites. Laura holds an associates degree in art and continues to develop her skills with classes and educational materials. Her work has been shown at the Santa Cruz Mountain Art Center, Cabrillo Gallery, and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History.
