Oyku Gulsun Dogan

I graduated from the Economics Department of Eskisehir Anadolu University in 2006.
After graduating, I started to work in illustration and graphic design. My inspiration for my
artwork comes from my anger, my sadness, and the conflicts of daily existence. I express my
feelings through illustration both in terms of my personal life and current events in the world
by using images of "the female body" in an ironic way to criticize the patriarchal world. I am a
member and represented artist at arthereistanbul, an art hub which is a space for artists,
especially from Turkey and Syria to collabrate with other international artists who are based in
Istanbul, Kadikoy.
