I’m Janaki Priya, a Bangalore-based charcoal hyperrealistic artist whose work explores emotion, memory, and the silent connection between humans, nature, and place. Inspired by my mother from childhood, I began drawing as a way of observing the world deeply — finding beauty in fleeting light, raw expressions, and untold stories.
Working primarily in charcoal, I focus on creating soft textures, dramatic depth, and emotionally immersive compositions that balance realism with atmosphere. My artworks are often inspired by wildlife, urban nostalgia, motherhood, and cinematic moments that evoke familiarity and feeling.
Through every piece, I aim to transform monochrome into emotion — allowing viewers to pause, connect, and experience a story beyond words.
Alongside my artistic journey, I hold a B.A. in Hindi and a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), experiences that shaped both my creative sensitivity and attention to detail.
My works have been exhibited at IIWC Bangalore and Rangoli Metro Art Center, where I showcased charcoal artworks centered around storytelling, realism, and emotional depth.
